Farmwatch

The Organisation shall be called “HorseWatch and will be run by Farmwatch Limited

The objectives of HorseWatch shall be:

1. To develop a network of communications between HorseWatch members and the police in order to provide accurate and up-to-date information on equine related Crime, and to encourage vigilance and co-operation.
2. To encourage crime prevention, including security marking of horses, tack, horse boxes and trailers.
3. To Inform owners of the latest security products available.
4. To liaise with the Police when Horses stray on or near the public highway and to try and contact horse owners to try and ensure their horse do not have to be recovered by the Police Equine call out scheme.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the HorseWatch shall be open to all persons who subscribe to its objectives and pay the current annual subscription. Farmwatch Limited shall have the right to refuse or terminate membership.

MANAGEMENT

The Management of the Organisation shall be in the hands of Farmwatch Limited and a representative or representatives from Norfolk Police and Horse Owners. A Co-ordinator shall be appointed for the day-to-day activities of the organisation and to be the point of contact for liaison with the Police. Information disseminated by Farmwatch Limited shall be restricted to members of the HorseWatch and shall not be disclosed or reproduced, in any shape or form, to persons or organisations outside of the HorseWatch scheme without the expressed permission of Farmwatch Limited.

Farmwatch Limited shall make reasonable efforts to keep all members informed of any matters which may be of interest to them in connection with the membership of the HorseWatch.
