What Farmwatch Does

As a Farmer you may have experienced, or know of someone who has experienced an attack on their Farm, Home or Property. The arrival of CCTV in urban areas has encouraged the criminal to move towards the countryside to commit their crimes where the chances of getting caught appear to be less likely.

Farmwatch Ltd can give you practical advice on how to improve your security. No device or equipment can be guaranteed to keep a determined thief out or stop them taking an item away but by taking appropriate steps you can make it much more difficult for them.

We will advise you and assist in making your property more identifiable, therefore making it less inviting to the thief and more likely that it can be returned to you if you are unfortunate to have it stolen. For this purpose we can offer a marking service using approved marking methods. We can also arrange to fit an alarm or tracking equipment which will inform you that your vehicles or property is being stolen or moved.

We can make a record of your valuable items of equipment and property using digital photography, these photographs and videos can be placed on the Stolen items pages of this Web site to help the Police and others in identifying your property if it is unfortunately stolen. These pages are accessible by all Police Forces and law enforcement agencies as well as the general public.

We can give advice on CCTV  and Alarm Installations and install the equipment for you at very competitive rates and will also provide the necessary maintenance to the  the systems for you.

Norfolk's farms have been regularly plagued by illegal hare coursers from all over the Country Farmwatch Ltd  works closely with the police and land owners in an effort to prevent and apprehend these unwelcome visitors. Further information can be obtained about  wildlife and environmental crimes by visiting the Wildlife Crime Section on the Norfolk Police Web Site under the heading of About Us Specialist Units and teams. The information available has sections on frequently asked questions and useful links to other sites who may be able to assist with your queries.

Farmwatch is now working closely with the police to assist in preventing the setting up of illegal music events (Raves) and are assisting our members and the police in combating this environmentally damaging craze. we use text messaging to keep our members informed of the movement of vehicle convoys and any intelligence as to potential locations so that measures can be taken to disrupt the event and move the people on. We will keep you up to date with current crime trends and known vehicles being used by suspected criminals in our regular newsletter. Any information you give to us regarding suspicious vehicles and persons can be passed to the Police and if we are able we will provide details of results achieved using the information you have supplied.

We are happy to receive information via telephone, fax, email or post. You can select which method best suits you to receive your information from Farmwatch Ltd i.e. fax email or post and in urgent cases by telephone or text messages.

In December 2005 we added HorseWatch  to our role and along with Police will be trying to prevent and detect equine crimes and try to ensure horses do not become accident statistics.
